"On the Horns of a Dilemma"

"On the Horns of a Dilemma"
- One that I'm working on* -
This is just the central action... it will have background details, rocks, cactus, running jackrabbits, clouds of dust... all the good stuff
Considering the times, I think this will resonate with many folks
*I keep a few different ones on deck, moving from one to another
(helps prevent burnout and keeps the fires burning)

Ranch Life: "The Infidel"

http://nate-owens.artistwebsites.com
Intrigue on the ranch.
Painting done in the humor style that I've done on Leanin' Tree greeting cards since 1980. Homely cowboy gets a kiss from his girl while jealous horse sneers.

Rooster Cogburn "pen & ink" (not)

Actually this was drawn altogether on the computer using Photshop and my Wacom pen-tablet.
I think it is amazing the kind of fluid control you can get... just like the genuine article of drawing with a pen on smooth paper... and you don't have to keep filling the pen.
